Terry Jordan hired a Nashville recording studio to make his ‘Playing It Forward’ dream come true.

“This is my return,” said 73-year-old Terry Jordan. The first time I met Terry he was in 2017. He was a dance instructor in San Diego and used his unique skills to donate time and money to numerous charities. “Somehow I survived,” Terry said.
After beating throat and prostate cancer, Terry’s survival story caught the attention of Giving Back magazine. The publication covered Terry’s 12 consecutive months of generosity as he donated check after check.
Terry has a big heart and he gave it too. Terry, who met Lenny on the cruise, said, “It’s never too late to be in love. His love for her and life was so strong that he wanted to sing from the top of the mountain, but there was a little bit of a problem.” He can’t sing!”No,” Terry said. So what was he supposed to do with 12 powerful songs pouring out of him?
“At 73, I never knew this could happen, maybe to be a songwriter,” says Terry, who recorded his songs at a Nashville recording studio called Best Built Songs: The Parlor Recording Studio. I brought it in. So Terry hired some heavy hitters who worked with Rod Stewart, Tim McGraw and Roy Orbison to bring his music to life. Terry’s music is now available for streaming through a platform called SoundCloud. Earn royalties every time you listen.
“100% of the money will be donated to the American Cancer Society,” Terry said. In just a few months, Terry’s songs have earned her over 40,000 plays. “I feel great,” Terry said. “I know some people don’t survive, some don’t.” But Terry wants his music to survive. He is currently battling a third type of cancer lymphoma and knows that win or lose his music will live on. Terry hopes his song will spawn a river of nickels, which will very likely be the title of his next hit. “Rivers of nickel!” “One is aiming for a Grammy Award.”
Terry submitted a song about a military man suffering from PTSD titled “When You Come Back.” He has submitted the song for nomination as his Best Song For Social Change at his 2023 Grammy Awards.
Terry’s mother and father died of cancer. As an independent songwriter, his pay for his songs on SoundCloud ranges from $0.0025 to $0.004 per play.
