17-year-old Kylie Welch will represent the autism community in 2023 to spread awareness and acceptance across the nation.
Caldwell, Idaho — Caldwell’s 17-year-old Kylie Welch is the proud holder of the title of Miss Teen Idaho Voice for Autism. In December, the state of Alabama hosted the national Miss National Teen Voice for Autism contest. Kylie wanted to compete, but it was expensive to get there. Her family started Go Fund Me to raise money for the trip. People from our community donated and her parents attended. They were able to travel at the end of the month.
guess what? She won a national title! Kylie is now National Miss Her Voice with Autism and has a big year ahead of her.
“I feel great,” said Kylie. “This title means a lot to me because it gives me the opportunity to meet new people and share my awareness of autism not just locally but nationally!”
Kylie’s family is so proud of her and her mother has posted about her journey on Facebook.
“Honestly what I was feeling is that I am beyond proud. I am honored to call her my daughter,” said Debbie Welch. “Just watching her grow and become this confident young woman, spreading the word, shining that light and incredibly bright!”
Kylie has a message for all of us.
“No matter what your obstacles are, you can still be a beautiful and wonderful person,” Kylie said with a smile.
Her mom is very proud of the message.

Kylie will reign throughout 2023, traveling quite a bit of time for speaking engagements and appearances at events. Her family started her Go Fund Me to help with her travel expenses.
