Gigi Jordan, the billionaire mother who murdered her son in a New York hotel room in 2010, was found dead Friday morning in the house she was renting.
She was 62 years old.

She was found dead in her bathtub shortly after midnight on Saturday, NBC New York reports. There was a note nearby.
Pharmaceutical executive Jordan admitted to syringeing a lethal dose of the drug to his 8-year-old son Jude in a hotel room in 2010.
In a 2015 trial, she alleged that she killed her son out of “maternal love” because she feared her first husband would kill her. The father said he was preventing the boy from being handed over to her second husband.
Jordan added on CBS New York in 2014 that he tried to take his own life after taking his son’s life.
Both men denied her allegations and were never charged with the crime.
After being sentenced to 18 years in prison in 2015, Jordan launched an appeal. She was released from prison in 2020 after serving nearly five years of her life. Her attorneys argued that one of the judge’s rulings violated Jordan’s Sixth Amendment right to a “prompt and public trial.”
Jordan faced a new challenge. she was released on bail. But after a hearing on Thursday, the day before her death, her bail was revoked by Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor. She was scheduled to return to her custody pending a new trial.
Authorities have not released a cause of death. An autopsy will be performed.
