Autism-Friendly Austin Hosts Special Program

LICSW’s Mitch Repicello, who holds a master’s degree in clinical social work from Fordham University in New York, will be presenting at the upcoming Autism-Friendly Austin Parents and Caregivers Evening.
He has over 30 years of experience providing mental health services to children, adolescents and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Leppicello has advanced training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy) and has found great benefits working with people on the autism spectrum. Leppicello’s mission is to help parents and caregivers navigate the myriad challenges associated with raising individuals with ASD of all ages. This mission led to the creation of ASD Parenting Journey and CALM Compass. CALM Compass provides positive and proactive parenting strategies for use in the ASD Parenting Journey.
Leppicello will be spending Monday night, January 23rd, at the Hormel Historic Home giving a presentation to parents and caregivers of children with autism. This presentation will help parents better understand ASD, behave best, and support their children. These strategies are best practices for raising children, teens, and young adults with ASD. is considered.
His presentations are interactive and Lepichero interacts with his audience. This evening is intended for parents and caregivers of children with ASD of all types, ages 5 to 25.
