HENDERSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A transgender person with autism went missing after leaving his Hendersonville home with a white man, but is safe, according to the Hendersonville Police Department. It turns out there is.
Claire Sanford, 19, walked out of her home on the 100th block of Jameson Place on Jan. 5 with a man in a gray Chevrolet Trailblazer, according to the Hendersonville Police Department.
Police said they weren’t sure which direction the two went, but Sanford said he changed his Facebook page to “I live in Chattanooga.”
However, officials said it was not actually known if Sanford lived in Chattanooga, even though he changed his Facebook profile to the location.
Officials say Sanford has disabled his phone and cannot be reached or found by pinging the phone.
Sanford is said to be 5’7″ with short blonde hair and weigh around 140 to 150 pounds. Police added that Sanford was transgender and dressed like a boy.
According to his mother, Sanford has autism, has a 12-year-old mentality, and struggles with anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts.
