Betty White is a lifelong advocate of animal welfare and has used her platform to raise awareness about the importance of adopting rescue animals. Betty White didn’t get to celebrate her 100th birthday, but on her birthday, January 17, people around the world celebrated their favorite animal in her honor, known as the Betty White Challenge. Her legacy lives on as she makes donations to charities.
The Maui Humane Society is asking the community to donate $5 or more and plans to donate up to $1,000 in her honor on January 17. As the island’s only open shelter, Maui Her Humane Her Society cares for more than 4,900 animals annually. All donations made in Betty White’s honor will be used to support the organization’s mission to find loving homes and care for homeless animals.
In addition to the donations, the Maui Human Society will support Lilo as Rose Nirund, Nala as Blanche Deveraux, Athena as Sophia Petrillo, and their own “Golden Girls,” the longest-staying animals in the shelter for over 365 years. sheds light on Starring as Sun, Linda and Dorothy Zbornak.
