Boise, Idaho – The Boise State Athletics received a $1 million commitment, track and field director Jeramiah Dickey announced Friday. This gift will be used for the renovation of the Arguinchona Basketball Complex. Donors wish to remain anonymous.
“Thank you, Bronco Nation,” said Dickie. “Your spirit and conviction laid the foundation and inspired others to join our team in supporting all 350 Boise State student-athletes. We sincerely thank all of our supporters. Your commitment keeps the What’s Next initiative alive in our long-term pursuit of -long-term success and sustainability.”
The Arguinchona Basketball Complex is a 10,000-square-foot, two-story facility named after longtime Bronco donors Larry and Karen Arguinchona. The facility serves as the home of the Bronco’s men’s and women’s basketball teams and is located outside Lobby 3 of the Extra Mile He Arena. The facility has many amenities to meet the needs of basketball student-athletes.
Future projects aim to transform the training and practice environment for basketball programs by adding a state-of-the-art weight room and live performance video technology to the practice facility. New offices for coaching and support staff are also envisioned in the complex.
The anonymous donation is the ninth $1 million donation to the Lyle Smith Society since the Charitable Giving Association began in December 2020.
