The Racine campus is open for pet adoption Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30pm to 5:00pm and Saturdays from 12:00pm to 5:00pm.

Offering a featured pet segment, the Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to build communities where people value animals and treat them with respect and kindness.
Founded in 1879, WHS has been saving the lives of animals in need for nearly 140 years. WHS is a 501(c)(3) organization that operates animal shelters in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Door and Brown counties and a spay and neuter clinic in West Allis. WHS serves 40,000 animals annually. WHS is not funded by general government and is not part of a national umbrella organization. WHS is Wisconsin’s largest shelter.
