Beloved mother, partner and ardent advocate for people with disabilities, Stephanie L. Rutkins passed away on Tuesday, January 3rd. her obituary saysShe was 29 years old.
Nicknamed “Nini” by her loved ones, according to her social media profile, Rutkins has lived in Newtown all her life, attending Council Rock North High School before attending Bucks County Community College and Middle Bucks Institute of Technology.
Rutkins had a degree in early childhood education and had a gift for working with children, the family writes. But her mission was to serve community members, both children and adults, who live with disabilities. her obituary says.
Through his work as a behavioral technologist for behavioral interventions, Rutkins provided ABA therapy for children with autism, the family writes. She also provided assistance with daily living so that adults with disabilities could live with independence and dignity.
“She was always concerned that both children and adults with special needs knew they had a voice. her obituary says.
Rutkins’ most proud achievement was raising her daughter, Sophia Hope, and she took great care to create family traditions that her children could carry on throughout their lives.
In addition to her daughter, Rutkins leaves behind her beloved boyfriend Jermaine Leach, her parents Marshall and Maureen (Kehoe) Rutkins, her younger brother Daniel Rutkins, and many relatives and friends.
People close to Nini say they will remember her outgoing personality and genuine concern for those around her. proudly said.
A memorial service was held in Philadelphia on Friday, January 13.
