Bagby Avenue Ramp Closure
The Texas Department of Transportation will close the Eastbound off-ramp of Highway 6/Loop 340 to Bagby Avenue on Wednesday in preparation for the upcoming traffic diversion. Eastbound drivers access Bagby Avenue by exiting on Imperial Drive and heading to Bagby on a new section of side road that includes a new bridge.
Bagby’s off-ramp is closed until the summer.
MLK peace march
The Waco Chapters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. invite the Waco community to participate in the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Peace March and Observance beginning at 8:30 am on January 16th. are inviting
The march begins in Indian Spring Park, crosses the Washington Avenue Bridge, and marches down Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. The march will be followed by a youth essay contest, a community cleanup by the National Women’s Farmers Association, a canning drive, and an educational program with community entertainers.

CRRC dinner, movie

Choral Society Audition
The Central Texas Choral Society will hold auditions on Mondays at 6:30 pm at the Central United Methodist Church at 5740 Bagby Avenue.

The Homespun Quilters’ Guild will meet at 3100 S. New Road on Mondays at 6:30 pm at the New Road Church of Christ.

The Waco Herb Society takes place on Tuesdays at 9:30 am at the Harrison Center, 1718 N. 42nd St.
Anyone interested in growing and using herbs can attend the meeting and become a member.
