Whether spoken in Talequa, Oklahoma or Qatar , learning another language and learning about another culture will make you smarter, more connected and ready to pursue domestic and international careers you never dreamed of.

Arabic (ARAB 1003) — MWF 8:35am to 9:25am.2:00 p.m. to 2:50 p.m.
A language spoken in North Africa and the Middle East. It can be easily combined with any major such as Earth Sciences, History, Global and International Studies, Communication and Media Studies, and of course other languages. Many people pursue careers as diplomats after studying Arabic at UA.

Spoken by Cherokee neighbors in Tallequua and Carolina. Part of the Indigenous Studies Minor. Works well with English housing History and Anthropology, and Native American Literature courses. Join us in learning this beautiful language here at U of A.
Russian (RUSS 1003 & 4113) RUSS 1003 — MWF 9:40-10:30 am. 10:45-11:35 am.RUSS 4113 Race in Russia — Thursday 3:30-6 PM
A language spoken in Russia and other former Soviet countries. It can also be easily combined with majors, especially international studies, communications, history, earth sciences, computer science and engineering. Many have received Fulbright Scholarships and Important Language Scholarships to study or work in Eastern Europe or other parts of the world.
Portuguese (PORT 3013) Brazilian Film — MWF 10:45-11:35 a.m.
Although the course is taught in English, Portuguese is spoken in Brazil, serving as one of the largest international business sectors in the world. Get the chance to learn more about Brazilian culture with this amazing new film class starting this spring.
