The West Georgia Autism Foundation’s annual fundraiser, Snowball, will be held on Saturday, January 21st at 6pm at the Sewell Mill event facility in Bremen.
By raising awareness and acceptance, bringing more diagnostic resources to West Georgia, providing grants to this community, and creating a community of support and support, the West Georgia Autism Foundation, a local non-profit organization , focused on improving the lives of individuals on the autism spectrum. Connections to those exposed to autism.
“Since its founding in 2017, the West Georgia Autism Foundation has been committed to building autism-related resources in our communities,” said Harry Nelson, president of the foundation.
“By focusing on awareness, we recognized the need to build more community among individuals with autism and their families,” Nelson explained.
Nelson said the organization sponsors community events that are inclusive and open to the public.
“We have also established an endowment to address some of the employment needs of the autism community. We are exploring ways to help pay for treatment and diagnosis,” Nelson said.
The upcoming Snow Ball will serve as the foundation’s largest fundraising event of the year, allowing the organization to continue its efforts to make an impact in the community. After enjoying hors d’oeuvres and browsing the Silent Auction items, move to the main dining area for a dinner provided by Your Great Event and live music.
Members of the West Georgia Autism Foundation thanked community partners who have already pledged to support the 2023 Snow Ball.
