At around 8 a.m. on the same day, about 10 people with disabilities from the “Solidarity for People with Disabilities for Normalization of Subway Operation” surrounded the entrance and exit of the elevator for people with disabilities at Samgangji Station on Line 4, blocking about 10 SADD members. The group was recently created by a number of organizations for the rights of persons with disabilities in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province.
“I’ve been holding back until now because I didn’t want to expose the disability conflict to the public. But now that SADD’s misbehavior is criticizing the entire disability group, I decided to take action.” said an activist from a disability group who had protested solidarity to normalize subway services. “I don’t want to see any more trouble for citizens who are struggling with their daily lives.”
