    The Dubai Autism Center provided free screenings to over 100 Emirates children. The move, which was made under the direction of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, is part of the National Autism Policy.

    Hesham Abdullah Al-Qasim, President of the Dubai Autism Center, said the initiative will help Emirati families accelerate the early detection of autism and ensure that their children receive adequate and comprehensive care for the interventions they need. He said that he was able to receive a more accurate diagnostic evaluation.

    Executive Director of Dubai Autism Centre, Mohammed Al Emadi, outlined the main results of the initiative, which has lasted almost eight months, stating: Suspected autism. ”

    According to him, the detection and assessment timeframe ranges from 5 to 7 business days, depending on the requirements of each case. During the session, the child will undergo a parental consultation session, supervised by a clinical psychologist, followed by a comprehensive diagnostic assessment report by the assessment team. The specialist will then meet with parents to discuss the final report and explain recommended treatments.

    Several parents have called for including autism testing services and treatments under the umbrella of insurance companies. The cost of a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation by private clinics in the United Arab Emirates ranges from Dh 5,000 to Dh 7,000.

    Dubai Autism Center (DAC) is a non-profit organization established in 2001. The center aims to provide professional services to children with autism and to support their families and their caregivers in accordance with her Decree No. 26 of 2021 issued by the Ruler of Dubai. increase. The Center’s financial resources consist of grants, endowments and charitable donations for the welfare of the Center.

    Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are neurological and developmental disorders that begin in childhood and persist throughout life. ASD can cause significant social, communication, and behavioral problems. According to a recent survey, 1 in 54 of her children are affected by her ASD.
