Those receiving Disablitiy Living Allowance (DLA) or Personal Independence Payment (PIP) are expected to receive a boost of almost £700 each month from April.
Claimants for disability benefits across the UK are expected to receive more money from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) next financial year.
Starting in April, state pension and benefit payments will increase by 10.1% in line with inflation. This means anyone receiving a PIP or DLA can receive recurring payments worth up to £691 every 4 weeks.
The current maximum amount a person receiving PIP, DLA, Child Disability Benefit and Adult Disability Benefit (ADP) can receive is £627.60.
Increased DWP payments can be worth up to £63.40 per month for claimants.
On the other hand, people of state pensionable age or older with health conditions or disabilities will see their weekly payments increase to over £100 if they take advantage of the higher rates. Lower rate claimers could see their payments reach £68.10.
The proposed changes have been published by the DWP and are expected to go into effect on April 10th.

DWP £1,350 Living expenses payment
The Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) has released details of the next round of cost of living assistance announced in the Prime Minister’s autumn statement.
More than 8 million people are now eligible for a new £900 cash boost, available to those receiving means-tested benefits such as universal credits, pension credits and tax credits.
The £900 payment will begin in the spring and will be paid in three installments directly to the claimant’s bank account throughout the year.
There is also a separate £150 payment for over 6 million disabled people and an additional £300 payment for 8 million pensioners on top of their winter fuel payments.
The exact payout date has not yet been announced by DWP, but this is when to expect individual payouts next year.
