
Egypt’s Finance Minister Mohammed Ma’it announced on Sunday that the state had minted a 3 million Egyptian pound coin to commemorate disabled people.
The ministry said in a statement that persons with disabilities demonstrate their determination and ability to overcome all kinds of challenges on a daily basis, demonstrating their ability to contribute to Egypt’s development.
The statement added that the coin’s issuance is in line with the state’s efforts to fully integrate persons with disabilities into society.
Treasury Secretary and Mint Director Hossam Kedru said the coins are a tool to express public appreciation to persons and groups of influence in various political, cultural and social spheres, including those with disabilities. I was.
He explained that the issuance of these coins will help raise public awareness of the important role of these persons and groups.
Khader said the best design for the disabled logo was chosen from among four designs prepared by the Treasury Department and the Mint.
