
Mar-a-Lago’s first Chatelaine was remembered and honored at a dinner dance benefiting the Salvation Army of Palm Beach County.
The Paradise Ball was held at the Mar-a-Lago Club on December 10th to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Palm Beach County’s Salvation Army, in addition to paying tribute to Marjorie Merriweather Post.

Writer/Interior Coordinator Holly Holden He chaired the White Tie Evening, which began poolside with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and performances by a team of synchronized swimmers.
After a cocktail and a splash or two, guests made their way to the Grand Ballroom and handed out life-size stand-up photos of the ball’s past chairmen.
The ballroom was decorated to match the pink theme of the night, with a pink cherry blossom tree flanking the dance floor, pink lighting, pink and gold table sets, and a centerpiece filled with white orchids and pink and white flowers. A tall glass vase.
The Chair briefly noted that the 100th anniversary of the Salvation Army coincided with the 100th anniversary of Mrs. Post’s purchase of the land on which Marlago stands.she also recognized her honorary president Lady Henrietta Spencer Churchill When Emma MannersDuchess of Rutland.

The evening continues with dinner and square dancing (Yes, just like in the post-era), a live auction and dancing to the music of Equinox.
