The popular Glasgow venue has announced earlier opening times for people with autism.
The Riverside Museum, known for its travel memorabilia, will open an hour earlier from 10am to 11am to provide a “calmer” and “less crowded environment” for people with autism.
The initiative will begin on Friday, January 13th and will run once a month on Fridays, except December.
Formerly known as the Glasgow Transport Museum, the Glasgow Life venue sits next to tall ships on the River Clyde and showcases steam locomotives, trams, historic cars and more.
The venue announced the new hours on Facebook on Tuesday.
They said: “The Riverside Museum will open early on these dates for visitors who prefer a calmer, less crowded environment.
“We will open to the public at 11am as usual. The quiet and safe space will be open all day.
“We look forward to your visit!”
