$24.7 million in HUD Awards to provide affordable housing to support community living for non-elderly people with disabilities
WASHINGTON – Today, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded $24.7 million in awards to 98 Local Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) nationwide to provide affordable permanent housing for non-elderly people with disabilities. announced that it will provide The award will enable these PHAs to accommodate up to 2,210 additional families, further supporting the integration of people with disabilities into their communities.

This housing assistance announced today will be delivered through HUD. The $5 million special administrative fee awarded to 88 PHAs in this funding round will reduce costs associated with retaining, recruiting, and supporting Participating Owners, as well as assisting with home searches and qualified Can be used to support the applicant’s lease up.
