The Crockett Resource Center for Independent Living’s Independent Living Services Program helps people with disabilities achieve greater independence in their homes and communities. Eligibility criteria for this program require that applicants have a significant disability diagnosed by a licensed medical practitioner and reside in Texas.
If you are a person with a disability and need services, assistive technology or equipment to maintain an independent life, you may be eligible for:
• Hearing aid
• Renovation of housing (temporary)
• Orientation and mobility training
• Durable medical equipment
• Visual aids
• Electric wheelchair
• prosthesis
• scooters
• Modification of vehicles
• Other adaptive devices and assistive technologies
CRCIL’s independent living services program includes 44 county service areas: Cherokee, Smith, Rusk, Nacogdoches, Anderson, Angelina, and Houston counties.
