We all know people with disabilities. It could be family, friends, people you work with, people you went to school with, or even yourself. Living with a disability can be tough, but with the right accommodations, life doesn’t have to be the hardest road. Where you live often determines how difficult it is for some people with disabilities to get around. Some towns are well accommodated, others have work to do. When it comes to living in Idaho, are our cities accommodating enough for people with disabilities?

Boise ranks 133rd in economy, 132nd in quality of life, and 59th in health care. Nampa is economy 129, quality of life 153, health care 126. There are many factors that determine what makes a city truly suitable for living with a disability, but this list does not consider the different types of disabilities and their potential. Boise may be a better place for some, thanks to support systems and doctors, and living in Nampa may be what families need financially. Regardless of your disability or anyone who knows someone with a disability, as long as they can get the care they need and the support and love they need, this list will have so much impact on life in Idaho. You shouldn’t.
