    The greatest literary festival is back with great success!

    The much-anticipated 16th Jaipur Literature Festival will take place from 19-23 January 2023. Widely known as “The Greatest Literary Show on Earth,” this literary festival celebrates the best of fiction, non-fiction, food and history. , current affairs and politics, AI and technology, translation, poetry, adaptation, music, language, climate crisis, noir, identity, medicine and health, cryptocurrency and economy. The event will be held at Hotel Clarks, Amer Jaipur.

    JLF ’23 promises to be a grand star-studded affair

    Like last year, Jaipur Literature Fest ’23 will include an impressive line-up of speakers including luminaries from the fields of literature, entertainment and entrepreneurship. Over 250 speakers grace the event.

    Some have won the Pulitzer Prize, others have won prestigious awards such as the Booker Prize, the Sahitia Academy Prize, and the DCB South Asian Literary Prize. The guest list includes industry veterans such as Pulitzer Prize-winning authors Caroline Elkins and Gaur Gopal. Das, renowned monk, lifestyle coach, Dada Saheb Falke International Film Festival Award winner, co-founder of Infosys Nandan Nilekhani, Javed Akhtar, famous Bollywood lyricist and pop singer Usha He Yusup, author cum politician shashi his tarur etc…

    From volatile Indochina relations to tech morals, the panel touches on multiple hot-button issues

    A panel of noted journalist and political commentator Manoj Joshi. Former Foreign Minister of India and Ambassador to China, Vijay Gokhale. Former Foreign Minister Shyam Saran and Foreign Policy Analyst Suhasini Haidar discuss divided Indochina relations.

    Three of India’s most famous sinophiles – academic Tansen Sen. Former Governor of Arunachal Pradesh JJ Singh and former Foreign Minister Shyam Saran of India lead an in-depth discussion of the political, cultural and civilizational ties between the two Asian giants. Separately, a session called “The Great Game of Tech Morality” will also be held. Delve into the highly controversial topics of technology and ethics. Writer and academic Toby Walsh, tech entrepreneur Anirudha Sri and journalist Praveen Swam will lead the discussion. Excerpts from Suri’s book Great Tech Game: Shaping Geopolitics and the Destiny of Nations are also read. Apart from this, other topics such as partitions, gender inequality, social justice and British India will also be discussed.

    JLF ’23 provides a platform for subbaltan art to shine

    The literary festival also celebrates marginalized voices in the art world. Beautiful works by artists from the Gond and Bill communities will be on display. The Ojas Art Awards showcase talent from the worlds of indigenous and contemporary art. This year, a magnificent work named ‘Vishwaroopa’ takes pride of place in the art exhibition. This artwork was created by Gond artist and Padma Shri winner Baju Shyam. Artist his Manjunath Kamath and Mithila artist Santosh Kumar Das showcase Mother Nature in anthropomorphic form, harmonizing with all the elements. Besides this, other art schools such as Madhubani-Mithila Art (Bihar), Pattachitra Art (Bengal), Warli Art (Maharashtra), and he Pattachitra Art (Odisha) will also be exhibited.
