Lahore: The Lahore Arts Council (LAC), in partnership with the Pakistan Arts Council, organizes the Lahore Chapter of the Pakistan Literature Festival (PLF) from 10th to 12th February.
The decision was made in a meeting between Raj Ahmed, chairman of Al Hamra, and Ahmed Shah, chairman of Pakistan Arts Council Karachi.
The PLF claims to be the country’s first mega-event to celebrate and celebrate Pakistan’s literature, culture, language, arts and music performances on a global scale like never before.
Chapter 1 of the PLF was scheduled to take place in Gwadar from January 13th to January 15th, but was later postponed.
Regarding the festival, Razi said PLF preparations are in full swing. He said Al Hamra will continue the tradition of providing people with an environment for knowledge and literature. Apart from academic and literary sessions, Pakistani crafts, street food, music, dance performances and a book fair will be part of the festival, he added.
Speaking about the festival, Ahmed Shah said such measures aim to promote and develop language, literature and culture. He said the session will be held at
Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi, executive director of Al Hamra, said that Al Hamra will pay tribute to those who have rendered various services in the field of language and literature with the festival.
Sughra Sadaf, Asghar Nadeem Syed, Osama Siddique, Sheeba Alam, Executive Director of Arts Council of Pakistan, Daniyal Umar, Nasir Abbas Nayyar and Ziaul Hasan attended the conference.
According to information available on the PLF Facebook page, the event was originally scheduled in eight cities: Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Gwadar, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Multan and Peshawar. The Gwadar chapter was later postponed.
