MeIf you have chronic health conditions such as arthritis, chronic pain, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, multiple sclerosis, or chronic mental health conditions such as depression, Living Well Thurston is for you.
Living Well Thurston is a series of interactive virtual workshops, sometimes called the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program, developed by Stanford University. Workshops are held once a week for 2.5 hours over 7 weeks. This program will help you take control of your health in just 7 weeks. Workshop sessions are facilitated by her two trained leaders, at least one of whom has personal experience with chronic health conditions.
This program enhances your ability to manage your chronic illness and allows you to live a more active and fulfilling life. Topics included in the workshop include action planning, problem solving, pain/fatigue management, how to plan for the future, healthy eating, medication management, informed decision making, physical activity, health care providers and systems and how to work together, and much more.
