The annual Luis Lille Award for Distinction in Chicano/Latin Literature will be presented to Shelley Moraga on February 8 in the McCune Conference Room of the Center for Interdisciplinary Humanities. This award honors nationally and internationally recognized Chicano/Latin writers. Shelley Moraga is one of America’s greatest poets, playwrights, and authors. She is the author of numerous publications including: This Bridge Called My Backco-edited with Gloria Anzaldua. love in wartime; last generation; When home of the heartMoraga has won numerous awards for her writing. She is Professor of English at her UCSB and co-director of the Las Maestras Center for Xicana Thought, Art, and Social Practice. February 8, 2023 @ 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
