Storytime at the Marathon County Public Library introduces children to literature and reading through storytelling, songs, games, puppetry and finger play. Some programs also include additional activities and crafts.
MCPL has recurring story times in most locations in January, making it easy for families across the county to participate wherever they live. The following story times will be held at the following locations:

bouncing babies story time
Babies and their parents are invited to the library for a 20-minute rapsit story time. Babies sit on the caregiver’s lap and enjoy singing and rhyming while bouncing. She shares nursery rhymes, songs, and board books. A leisurely playtime is provided afterwards for parents and caregivers (and babies!) to socialize. Perfect for children 1 year and younger.

Tales for Tots
Little movers and caregivers, join us for a fun interactive story time for toddlers. We meet every Monday morning to read interactive stories, sing songs together, and have a blast during this 20-30 minute story time. This program is designed to help children ages 2 to 4 learn basic knowledge such as shapes, numbers, colors and rhymes in a unique and fun way. Children must be accompanied by a guardian.

Children’s Wisconsin staff read stories, share music, and guide children through craft projects.
