Srinagar: Senior leader of the National Congress of Jammu and Kashmir and MP (Ang) Hasnain Masoodi on Saturday urged the administration to extend the date of Aadhaar seed for disability pensioners.
Massoudi expressed concern about the plight of disability pensioners and said that given the continuing harsh winter season, the government will set seed dates so that the maximum number of recipients can link their pension accounts and Aadhaar numbers. I said it should be extended.
Until the seeding of Aadhaar, Mr Masoodi called on the government to continue paying out the monthly disability pension recipients.
“It is impossible for disabled and disabled people to open a pension account in Adhaar in such a short period of time. Not to mention the economic exclusion of thousands of beneficiaries if the process is rushed, so fine-tuning Aadhaar seeding to local climatic conditions. is essential for administration,” he said.
He also lobbied the government to increase disability pensions in view of rising inflation and rising prices. “The financial support given to beneficiaries is too little to cover their nutritional needs, let alone cover their medical expenses. The monthly support should be increased to 5000 rupees per month,” he said.
