RAMBAN: Today, Mussarat Islamic Vice-Chairman Ramban chaired a meeting to discuss how to establish a District Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities (DDRC) in the district.
The meeting was attended by Harbans Lal, ADC. Dr. Kamal Zadu, CMO. DSWO, Rahul Gupta. CDPO, Ravindra Kour and other officers.
After detailed deliberation, the meeting decided to set up the facilities of the District Disability Rehabilitation Center on the premises of the district hospital.
The center was informed that in addition to the prosthesis manufacturing unit, it planned to offer multiple therapeutic modalities such as aqua therapy, yoga therapy, music therapy and speech therapy. It will also give you skills to help you improve, the conference said.
DC said the District Disability Rehabilitation Center (DDRC) is a government initiative to promote comprehensive services for persons with disabilities.
He also reviewed the progress of PwD’s registration to issue Unique Disability IDs (UDIDs). DC has instructed relevant authorities to cover all beneficiaries in order to achieve his 100% registration under this scheme.
