MUSSELBURGH’S Disability Sports Club celebrated its first Christmas party since the Covid-19 lockdown.
The celebratory fun enjoyed last month was wholly funded by the Pennypit Community Development Trust, which is free for attendees to attend, and was held at the East Lothian Co-operative Bowling and Social Club in Tranent.
Food was provided by the Fa’side Community Kitchen to accommodate the different needs within the group and to “make everyone feel special”.
The party was attended by local DJs who also volunteered their time to play music for the evening.
This club offers sports activities and exercise for people of all ages with a wide range of disabilities.
They meet every Wednesday at the Musselburgh Sports Centre.
Coordinator Jade Hall said: all the time.
βThe past few years have been particularly challenging because many participants were unable to interact with the bubble due to the novel coronavirus.
