Regular program:
every day: 9am-2pm Support Day Program
Friday: 10-11am, Music & Memory Cafe Open House
Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Dementia care support group
Supportive Day Program (SDP): A daily activity program for individuals who, if left unchecked, may be at risk or experience memory impairment. . Transportation is available.
Music and Memory Cafe Open House: Join the Free Music and Memory Café every Friday from 10am-11am for live music and singing. Please wear a mask.
Family Caregiver Support Program: This program advocates for caregivers and provides referrals to programs that can support memory screening, family conference facilitation, ongoing Alzheimer’s and dementia education, and caregiving efforts. MVCL’s services provide meaningful tools and tips to improve the caregiving experience. Supports caregivers who live on Martha’s Vineyard or are caring for someone who lives on Martha’s Vineyard.
service: Individual sessions with trained clinicians to help caregivers navigate resources and manage care for loved ones and themselves. Services may include:
- Nursing care consultation
- Dementia coaching (habilitation therapy)
- Dementia care support group
Caregiver Counseling: We help you navigate the public and private care system to come up with the best plan to meet your needs. Counseling can be done at your home, office, or over the phone. We can meet with caregivers individually or as a family.
dementia coaching, Also called habilitation therapy, it is a nonmedical, interpersonal approach to caring for people with memory problems. A skilled dementia coach develops a plan with caregivers to simplify daily tasks in order to maintain independence and a sense of purpose. This approach helps caregivers manage behavior, reduce stress, and promote a more rewarding caregiving experience.
Dementia care support group Provide a confidential and supportive atmosphere for caregivers to come together and find encouragement, comfort and advice from others who share similar experiences and concerns. free.

Dementia Friends USA is part of a global movement to change the way people think, act and talk about dementia. Helping communities better serve their neighbors by offering staff her one-hour free Dementia Friends information sessions. This free one-hour training for her can be added to staff her meetings or planned as a special event.
