A specially disabled girl from Jalandhar, Randeep Kaur, has proved that disability does not limit a person’s potential. Despite her 80% of her disability, she is true to her passion. She passed her B.Com with honors and now she is aiming for her M.Com at Lyallpur Khalsa College.
She said she wanted to be a civil servant and would not allow anything to get in the way of her dream. Even if she is disabled. On Tuesday, she met Deputy Secretary Jaspreet Singh and handed her a letter of thanks for her achievements in her education.
Her father, Hadeep Singh, informed DC that she was top of the senior secondary exam results. Her mother, Harpete Kaul, told her DC that besides teaching, her daughter also won a school district-level slogan-writing contest in extracurricular activities and was named to the state-level slogan-writing championship. .
The Deputy Commissioner met with Randeep Kaur and learned about her dream of becoming a civil servant in life. DC then gave her some tips to prepare for her UPSC exam and ensured coaching support and assistance from her administration.
He also praised this rare feat. He said his letter of appreciation is a recognition of Randeep Kaur’s hard work and dedication that burned the midnight oil to excel in his academic field.
Singh further said that she is a role model for other girls, especially students with disabilities who can be discouraged because of their disability.Jaspreet Singh said that girls and their parents have big dreams and said that such a good student can contact the administration for any kind of help.
