Philadelphia, Arizona-based Eagles Excited for Super Bowl Appearance
Colum Butler, a Temple University graduate from West Oak Lane, moved to Arizona a few years ago. A huge Eagles fan, Butler attended every Eagles game, both home and away, after recovering from a stroke four years ago.
A hardcore Eagles fan from Philadelphia who lives in Arizona said the Super Bowl excitement has already begun, more than a week away from the big game.
A West Oak Lane resident and Temple University graduate, Koloun Butler lives in Gilbert, Arizona, just miles away from where his beloved Eagles play the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
“It’s definitely been talked about,” Butler said. “People are looking forward to the NFL experience, and they’re looking forward to interacting with celebrities.”
The former Central High School student moved to Arizona a few years ago but never lost his love for the Eagles. I met Butler for the first time in the game.
Then Butler had just recovered from a stroke and was on the last stop on a bucket list tour of attending every Eagles game that season, both home and away.
“Nineteen games were great,” said Butler. “The Eagles were great for me. They gave me a jersey with my name on it, so it was a good time.”
Butler is still planning his schedule for Super Bowl week with Eagles fans across the country.
“At the end of the day, I want everyone to have a good time, get home safely, and get their W,” Butler said.
