AhAfter years of delays, genetically engineered chestnut trees may finally receive USDA approval. Is it headed for a new home in America’s Appalachian Forest? There’s no evidence that Tylenol causes autism, but that doesn’t stop lawyers from filing lawsuits claiming it’s autism. Did a COVID mRNA injection cause Dammer’s Hamlin’s cardiac arrest? There is currently no evidence to support that speculation.

After years of research and regulatory review, a blight-resistant genetically engineered chestnut tree known as Darling 58 is ready to receive final approval from the USDA. This project was designed to re-establish American Chestnut (Castanea dentata), dominated Appalachian forests for many years until a deadly fungal infection nearly wiped out the trees in the last century. Reviving chestnuts could have the same environmental benefits as today. What hurdles remain on the road to success, and when will scientists actually start planting these biotech trees?

We all took Tylenol without a second thought for mild pain. The ingredient acetaminophen has been targeted by opportunistic trial lawyers. What is needed is a single study to suggest that children exposed to Tylenol during pregnancy are 19% more likely to have an autism spectrum disorder compared to unexposed children, and lawsuits are needed. This story highlights the fact that our legal system is routinely abused to serve as a platform for bad science to be tried unjustly. increase.

During the Jan. 2 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills safety Dummer Hamlin went down after tackling a wide receiver. Experts suspect Hamlin developed heart disease as a result of Cordis, a rare but potentially fatal condition characterized by a blunt force to the chest. First responders likely saved Hamlin’s life by performing CPR and automated external defibrillation (AED). He was discharged on January 11 after his nine days in hospital. Some political commentators have used the situation to attack his COVID-19 mRNA vaccine, but Hamlin’s vaccination status is unknown and his medical history has not been released to the public.
