• Dr. Michael Durbin of Prospect Heights, with more than 30 years of experience in orthodontics, has been elected 2023 President of the Chicago Dental Association.
Dr. Durbin has held multiple leadership positions at CDS, including serving as secretary, treasurer and vice president, as well as multiple leadership positions with the organization’s Northwest Suburbs chapter, including chapter president and president.
As Chairman, Dr. Durbin will lead the planning and preparations for the 158th Midwinter Conference. The conference will provide attendees with access to his 240+ courses taught by world-class speakers and leaders in dental innovation, live exhibitions, and networking opportunities with colleagues and friends.
Dr. Durbin is involved in the orthodontic profession and holds leadership positions in several organizations, including the American Orthodontic Association, the Midwest Orthodontic Association, the Illinois Orthodontic Association, and the Illinois State Dental Association.
For over 30 years he has practiced private orthodontics at Des Plaines and since 1998 has been a partner with Long Grove’s Associated Dental Specialists.

Attorney Elizabeth Mayne Ellis Joins Ravel Law as Partner

• Attorney Elizabeth Mayne Ellis has joined Schaumburg-based Ravel Law as a partner. Maine Ellis brings to the firm an extensive background in both law and business.
A graduate of Loyola University in Chicago, Maine Ellis received his Juris Doctor degree from DePaul College of Law. She developed courses and taught at Loyola’s College of Arts and Sciences.

In addition to her qualifications as an attorney and family law mediator, Maine Ellis has also passed Series 66 and seven exams in finance.

Dr. Nayab J. Qureshi has joined the medical group of Northwest Community Healthcare.

• Family Physician Dr. Nayab J. Qureshi has joined the Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) medical group and sees patients at 199 West Land Road, Mount Prospect.
Dr. Qureshi is a graduate of the American University of Antigua. He completed his training and internship at Michigan State University. He is certified in family medicine.
Prior to joining NCH, Dr. Cresi was on the faculty of the Family Medicine Residency Program at Michigan State University.
In addition to English, Dr. Qureshi is fluent in Hindi, Urdu and Spanish.

Patrick Martin was elected administrator of the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago.

• Patrick Martin of Glen Ellyn, Managing Director of Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies, was elected to the Board of Trustees of the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago.
YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago CEO Dorri McWhorter said: “Patrick grew up attending his YMCA in Buehler, Palatine. His enthusiasm and commitment to serving the next generation of his Y Family in the Chicago metropolitan area has impressed the entire board and management team. We are thrilled to welcome him to the management team of our Board of Directors.”
Martin, who leads Cozen O’Connor’s government relations and Midwest public relations efforts, spends time in the company’s Chicago and Washington, DC offices. His practice focuses on advising highly regulated companies across a variety of business sectors, defending clients before Congress, White House, federal agencies, state and local governments. .
Martin also serves on the board of directors of Rainbows for All Children, a national non-profit organization based in suburban Chicago focused on helping children overcome trauma and loss, and on the board of Chicago Catholic charities. Also a member of the Junior Board. of the agency’s government relations executive team.
