TEAMability is a non-profit organization whose mission is to address the complex challenges of individuals of all ages with multiple disabilities and their families.
For the past 20 years, TEAMability Executive Director Barbara Goldman and her staff have worked with the most vulnerable people with disabilities throughout Bexar County and the San Antonio community.
On August 1, 2022, TEAMability will move from its former location in N. Trinity, Multi Assistance Center (The MAC) at Morgan’s Wonderland.
MAC provides people with disabilities with medical and non-medical services all in one place. TEAMability was selected as a Therapy Anchor.
The new 10,000-square-foot state-of-the-art clinic is a welcoming space, offering more room for staff and their clients to continue their educational and therapeutic activities. On Aug. 1, MAC was serving her 40 children. After 5 months, we have 82 services and many referrals processed for our services. ”
Staff and team members are dedicated to challenging the assumption that children and adults with severe and complex disabilities are defined by their diagnosis. They unlock the potential inherent in everyone, identify individual progress, and celebrate achievements.
Highly qualified educators and therapists offer personalized guided activities and learning opportunities. Speech, occupational therapy, and physical therapy are included in the list of services, but other programs such as professional visual skill development activities for children with cortical visual impairment (CVI) are also included.
