The third video on Disability and Synods is dedicated to the Magisterium of Fragility.
A special synod listening session dedicated to people with disabilities, according to the Father. Justin Glyn gave us an opportunity to reflect on the true meaning of their existence within the church.
In this regard, the heroes of the video released today speak of a real “magisterium of fragility.” These are the same as the words of Pope Francis: Your presence may help change the actual circumstances in which we live, making them more human and welcoming. Without vulnerabilities, limitations and obstacles to overcome, there is no true humanity»” (Message from Pope Francis on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, 3 December 2022).
It is not an encyclical or a document, but above all a Magisterium of lived experience. It is not only an experience witnessed during a pandemic, but also that of disabled people who are committed to serving the poorest.
I couldn’t hide my surprise that my joyful faith lived in weakness. – An opportunity arises to proclaim the Gospel of Liberation.
