San Luis Obispo, CA – In honor of the season of love, the Woods Human Society is reducing the adoption fee to $14 from February 1 through February 14.
Typical adoption fees range from $65 to $150 for adult dogs and cats, and the reduced fees remove barriers for potential owners.
Woods Humane Society CEO Neil Trent says Valentine’s Day is a great time to encourage people in need of companionship to consider adoption.
“At a time when our kennels and our shelter partners’ kennels are flooded with adoptable animals looking to give their hearts and souls to their families, Valentine’s Day celebrates the incredible love and love that adoption can bring. It seems like a great reason to remind our community of companionship.Shelter Pets.”
The nonprofit launched a “Love is in the Air” social media campaign asking for photos capturing the love between owners and their furry friends to create artwork for the adoption special Did.
